Bore Draw With 11 players out this was never going to be a spectacle. We just needed a little magic around the last third, someone to take hold of the game but it never came.
The men worked very hard but gave the ball away too many times for my liking. Although the defence was a little shaky in the first 10 minutes, they did quite well for the rest of the game.
Having to make wholesale changes to the team didn’t help the cause, but Ramsey Brown Palmer and Shaw all back after long layoffs did well to last the course. Wheat also did well playing out of position at the back and veteran Lord also had to play and marshaled the back line superbly.
There is not a lot to say about the game itself as not a lot happened worth talking about. Here are a few highlights...A great save from Palethorpe from Keyworths only chance and two chances from rabbit, one a blatant miss from 2 yards and a far post header where he collided with the post instead of nodding the ball in the net. Keyworth set there stall out from the start taking no prisoners with their tackles stopping the Bees from playing, well done to them and well done to our ref Mark Larvin who let the game flow and did well not to book anybody - We need a few more like him. OLD SCHOOL.
LETS SORT THIS PASS AND MOVEMENT OUT MEN. TUESDAY TRAINING.
