Tight game

There wasn’t a lot to choose between the two teams both sides canceling out each other. Not a lot happened really in the first half both defences taking care of the forward lines easily and both midfield’s sharing the spoils.

There was a lot more goal mouth action in the second half . Just 5 minutes into the second half and new boy Gorman sent a peach of a pass to the far post finding brown who made no mistake with a powerful header giving Greenwood stopper Preece no chance.  0-1 50 mins .

Just a minute later and Palmer found himself 6 yards out with the goal at his mercy but some how skied the ball over the cross bar. We had a few chances to double our tally first Brown missed then Woody was unlucky shooting just  wide from 20 yds on 60 mins. A minute later Brown thought he had doubled his score only to see his shot cleared off the line. Greenwood also had chances to level the best chance coming on 64 mins but Farmery made a good save low down bottom right . Greenwood had a lot of possession in the last third of the match but never troubled our defence too much. Well done men a good three points earned today .
