Gloom at the shilo
I’ve been talking about discipline for a while now and really it was only a matter of time before it boiled over. We were outplayed today but it seems there are a few players in the side who do not know how to lose. They would rather look for scapegoats and feeble excuses than look at their own weaknesses. No more excuses, no more indiscipline, no more pre madonnas, we get back to what we do best - playing the game how it should be played.
Nobody will embarrass me, the management or the Matrixgrade name again.
Awsworth should have scored in the first minute but the finishing was poor. The pitch was in very poor condition but Awsworth played the ball arounf much better than ourselves. Slightly against the run of play we managed to get our noses in front when a good throw our Farmery found Wheat in midfield who sent a peach of a pass to Macca who lobbed the oncoming keeper (0-1 after 12 minutes).
Wile we were still celebrating, Awsworth hit us with a sucker punch when Morton waltzed through a square back line beating Farmery on his near post (1-1 after 14 minutes).
We had a couple of chances to regain the lead before half time, first Macca having his shot tipped over on 21 minutes and then again on 43 minutes, but Awsworth cleared the line....
Awsworth were really getting passed our square back line far too easily and on 50 minutes missed another open goal. Just a few minutes later and we were sliced open again, this time Robinson making no mistake (2-1 after 53 minutes)
We had a chance to level when Macca was blatantly brought down in the box but for some unknown reason, only the ref knew, it was not given. Awsworth again penetrated our defence far too easily and Morton getting his second and Awsworth’s third (3-1 after 55 minutes).
The Bees completely lost the plot after this with Brown getting himself sent off needlessly on 58 minutes making the game that bit easier for the opposition.
